INSEAD identified a growing demand for high-quality, on-demand learning that meets the expectations of today’s time-constrained professionals. The challenge was to launch a scalable, self-paced Microcredential offering that preserved INSEAD’s academic rigor without increasing operational overhead or disrupting its complex digital infrastructure.
To succeed, the solution needed to support continuous enrollment, rapid learner onboarding, and seamless delivery across a hybrid ecosystem of legacy and modern platforms. This had to be accomplished while maintaining INSEAD’s globally recognized standards of pedagogy and learner experience. The goal was to create an intuitive, fully automated learning journey that began at program discovery and extended through course completion and credentialing—offering professionals worldwide a flexible, high-impact alternative to traditional cohort-based learning.

Solution
To bring its vision to life, INSEAD partnered with Intrepid to launch a fully automated, learner-centric Microcredential offering. Together, they engineered an end-to-end digital ecosystem integrating Salesforce, MuleSoft, PeopleSoft, Intrepid, and Accredible. This unified infrastructure allows participants to discover a course, register, and begin learning within minutes without manual intervention.

Once payment is completed, learner data flows through a series of automated processes: enrollment is activated in PeopleSoft, access is provisioned in Intrepid, and a personalized welcome email is sent. Intrepid’s platform drives the experience forward with behavior-triggered communications (i.e., reminders, nudges, and completion confirmations) branded to INSEAD and precisely timed to maximize engagement.
Academic rigor remains central. Each course includes simulations, role-plays, reflections, and assessments that go beyond passive video learning. Digital credentials, issued via Accredible, allow for professional recognition.
